Due to anticipated disruptions at the beginning of the 2020-2021 school year as a result of COVID-19, CLI is currently working to develop and test alternative administration functionality and protocols. The information provided here will be updated as more information becomes available.
This webpage will provide an overview of how different assessments can be administered remotely. The results of these remote administration tools will still provide a reliable measure of students’ abilities and assist in differentiating instruction to meet the individual needs of students.
All assessments will still be accessed through the CLI Engage website. See the sidebar for links to How-To-Guides, reports, and Family Engagement resources. It is highly recommended to use the offline assessment feature when administering assessments to reduce lag/screen delay.

Below is an overview of information specific to the remote administration of the CPM
For the measures listed, you must do the required measures for ECDS, but you also have the option to do the TEA measures. The remote administration opportunities for CIRCLE Progress Monitoring (Pre-K) measures included for TEA’s Early Childhood Data System (ECDS): Rapid Vocabulary Naming, Rapid Letter Naming, Early Writing, Mathematics, and Social and Emotional. The optional measures included for TEA are Rapid Vocabulary Naming, Story Retell and Comprehension, Speech and Sentence Skills, Rapid Letter Naming, Letter-Sound Correspondence, Phonological Awareness, Motivation to Read, Book and Print Knowledge, Optional Math, Social and Emotional, Science, Social Studies, and Physical Health and Development.
Additionally, the family observation forms were designed to help teachers collect valuable information from families about how they see their children learning and growing throughout the school year.

Below is an overview of information specific to the remote administration of the Texas Kindergarten Entry Assessment (TX-KEA).
For the measures listed, you must do the TX-KEA Literacy Screener, but you also have the option to do the ECDS. The remote administration measures required for the statewide TX-KEA Literacy Screener are Vocabulary, Letter Names, and Spelling. The optional measures included for ECDS are Listening Comprehension, Letter Sounds, Blending, Math Part 1 & 2, and Social Emotional Competence.
Additionally, the family observation forms were designed to help teachers collect valuable information from families about how they see their children learning and growing throughout the school year.
