The micro-credentials are part of an early childhood specialist competency framework that includes competencies that all specialists (including coaches, trainers, and assessors) need to demonstrate to serve the early childhood professionals they support effectively. Each micro-credential is comprised of badges that are linked to specific, demonstrable skills aligned to the competency areas. Badges are earned by following a clearly defined assignment based on a set of cohesive skills.

Support your professional development in core training competencies and continue in your career as an early childhood trainer by completing the Trainer Micro-Credentials. In addition to this program, consider applying to become a Registered Trainer on the Texas Trainer Registry, a statewide system that approves early childhood trainers and their trainings.
